Yeah.
I managed to bork my blog with an upgrade attempt. The site became unresponsive, and WordPress began to consume an exuberant amount of server resources. Well, it’s what I deserve for upgrading when I was half-asleep.
In order to simplify the upgrade process, I decided to reinstall WordPress via Subversion. No longer shall I endure the hassle of archives! A single command and running the upgrade script will suit me just fine.
It’s a shame I never before considered installing and upgrading web apps from a version control system… doing so would have saved me from so many headaches in the past.
Oh, and I won’t be restoring posts from the previous blog… Nothing of value was lost.
